(Shifting)

Shifting is based on a video installation. This work reflects on that relationship showing the constant underneath and the changing surface. The space is unchanged but the context is fluid. It is based on the manual transformation and manipulation of the photographic images. Like landscapes which have vertical as well as horizontal stratigraphy, the work has a linear multiple grid system which creates a multi layered fragmented surface. Symmetrical-highly organized and delicately cut squares create a multi layered fragmented surface. The images are no longer static but fragmented and ephemeral like the natural dynamic structure of the landscapes and changing realities projected on it.

The work has been exhibited in Tashkeel, Dubai,2016.
