In her last series of work, she used a range of patterns as a representations of nature on her home plan in Ankara, Turkey. The house plan is used as a carpet like surface, each room space is arranged with patterns and photographic images which all bring different memories, hopes and dreams from past, present and future. Traditional Iznik tiles come in to existence in her dream kitchen. I the bedroom you cans the fabric of her mother’s dress as well as a photographic image as a memory of her homeland. in different. Additionally, in between, an arid landscape of UAE where artist lives and her Turkish patterned imaginary house where her belongs are divided there is a borderline with a traditional Emirati Bedouin tent’ s fabric which represents a place and moment of blurriness of home-abroad, presence- absence, imagination-reality, indoor-outdoor, two dimensional-tree dimensional.
